B.E.E. stands for Bixby Educational Events.

Through our years of experience coordinating these educational shows, we have received a lot of joy from watching many children of all ages as they experience and enjoy this type of learning experience.  We know that our own educational experience has been enhanced through live performing arts shows.  They have enlightened and entertained as they helped us gain a deeper understanding of the arts, culture, and history too.  We wish to serve the homeschool community by making these shows more accessible, available and affordable for all.

Many of the shows that we have booked and enjoyed in the past are only available to “school” groups.  The South Coast Repertory and Orange County Performing Arts Center, to name a few, have specific outreach programs just for schools. Unfortunately, some homeschool groups are not large enough to qualify, and the costs of such shows usually prohibit most groups from offering more than one or two shows per year.  We consider these shows an enrichment to our educational experience and hope that you will too.  B.E.E. believes that by pooling our resources together into a larger community group, we can gain the benefit of seeing these shows on a more regular basis.

We would like to ‘B.E.E.’ your scout to fun educational shows.

At each event

We are Christians but welcome people of all faith to our events.  We believe that we are using the gifts and talents that the Lord has blessed us with to serve you through our organization.  We would like at each of our events to also give your child(ren) the opportunity to seek out their gifts too. 

With this in mind, at each of our events we will have the opportunity for your child to either: open us up with a word of prayer, lead us with the Pledge of Allegiance, recite or read a Bible verse or poem, possibly read the introduction for the performing artist, and close us in prayer.  I am also willing to speak to each performer about your child doing sign language during the performance.  Our hope is that many children will get to do one of these opportunities throughout the coming year and through the experience of being on stage or through what they learn from the performers, they will be enriched and encouraged to seek out their gifts and talents too.
