About the Show:
Playing fiddle, jaw harp, bones, spoons, and other instruments of the Lewis & Clark Expedition, Daniel Slosberg brings to life Pierre Cruzatte, Lewis and Clark's main boatman and most esteemed musician.
This program takes on an unforgettable musical voyage with stops along the way for humorous and moving stories about the journey and Cruzatte's critical contributions to it.
Since its first performance in the spring of 2000, Pierre Cruzatte has appeared in schools, libraries, museums and historical sites throughout the country and at most of the official bicentennial events. In between his travels, Slosberg preforms as Monsieur Cruzatte near his home on Southern California.
Pierre Cruzatte is on the roster of the educational program of the Orange County Preforming Arts Center and of Young Audience of St. Louis.
