Federal House
Rev. Gary Beard, known to many as a George Washington re-enactor, has graciously transformed a portion of his home into a hands-on history museum. He calls this casita “The Federal House.” His mission is to show this space to as many school aged children as possible. Rev. Beard has brought together many artifacts of our country’s history into one beautiful space. He has items such as books, original coins, and a collection of clothing that are over 100 years old. Although he has left these items out for all children to see and touch, the items should be held with the utmost care. I have attached a little slide show movie that should show you a better example of what I am trying to say. If you have difficulties with the movie playing let me know and I will try another format.
You may call Rev. Beard and set-up an opportunity to experience all of this for yourself. I would recommend no more than 10 people at a time in the house and no strollers. It is a small 300 square foot casita detached from the main home. Please call to make an appointment with Gary Beard 714 544 6635(home). The address is 14531 Pepper Tree Cir. Tustin Ca 92780. He is off of Rain tree Lane and Walnut Avenue between the 5 freeway exits of Red Hill Ave. and Tustin Ranch Road. There is a park nearby if you want to take turns going to the house. Rev. Beard is happy to accept donations so that he can further his collection.
